Just for Fun Activities During the Holidays

You spend your days working hard. You rush from one appointment or procedure to the next. Your practice relies on your hard work, and so does each one of your patients. During the holiday season, your schedule is tapped even further. You have even more to do, less time to get it done, and everyone wants your attention. What fun activities and events can you host in your offices to help reduce some of this stress and perk up everyone for the holidays? It may be easier to create this type of atmosphere than you think.

Host a Formal Dinner

While it may seem like a lot of work and time to invest, hosting a holiday dinner for friends at work, staff and their families or just close friends it is one of those old style traditions that can really set your business apart from the others. You can have it catered and even host it at the practice if there is space. The goal is to center all of your holiday celebrations around this event, freeing up all of the time and energy on other days for your patients.

Plan a Secret Santa Event

Make it medical themed. Everyone who wants to participate - and you do not have to make them do so - can agree to exchange names and buy a single gift for someone in the office. Encourage them to choose items that are fun and lighthearted. For example, this might be satin scrub hats or medical totes with personalization on them.

Head Off to the Movies

Instead of giving gifts, toss aside those medical caps and get out into the theaters. Let everyone bring along a person and watch the latest holiday themed movie as a group. You may even want to throw in dinner at a local favorite restaurant. Get away from the practice to have some lighthearted fun.

It does not have to be expensive, time consuming, or hard to plan these types of events, but it should be a lot of fun. The goal is to show your employees how much you appreciate them during the holiday season.
